Baby in a Bubble

Gasp! Is that the number 42? Only 10 more weeks until this sweet baby turns 1. It literally made my stomach drop when I realized this. Wow, this year has gone by so fast!!!

I really think Finn will be walking way before his first birthday, he likes to practice with our hands and stand up and move all around the room. My favorite moments this week have been when Lucas and Finn wrestle each other (and yes, Finn already knows how to tackle his brother), and they both dissolve in giggles.

Finn's hair is getting so long, and it curls all along the bottom and over his ears. SO precious. Unless it grows out in the mullet fashion like his brothers did, we won't be cutting it anytime soon.

Check out the cheeks and dimples I get to hang out with all day :)

Is this the cutest baby in a bubble you have ever seen? Even his dad said it was adorable. Wow, how far my northern husband has come :) Later in the day, after we had big bowls of banana pudding, he was catching big fish in a pond with just a net--I think the south is winning Josh over.

Big brother had to get on the action too. He was dressed and ready to go to preschool praise! I love hearing his memory verses and songs each week. The children's ministry does such an amazing job with the kids. I even have an app on my phone that coordinates with his lessons to give him "prompts" and game ideas during the week. Genius!

Lucas has made me laugh so hard this week, his imagination and humor have picked up a bit, but it is when he isn't trying to be funny at all that it is the most hysterical. Case in point--we took a walk one evening when it wasn't 300 degrees outside and passed a lady with a little dog. Lucas loudly asked, "Is that a dog or a skunk?" My apologies lady, but my son kinda had a point.

That night, Lucas woke up at 4am crying (this is not unusual, he still doesn't "sleep through the night").  When I went up, he kept saying the word, "refreshing" over and over again. After I explained that he needed to use more words because I had no idea what he was saying, he replied: "Mom, my water is not refreshing, I need ice in it!". Seriously? 4am? you need to feel refreshed?!

At least when I wake up groggy and stumbling in the morning, I have this little man to make some coffee for me:

Guess what came in the mail this week? Snoopy letters! This is when the kids get a letter in the mail from Otter Creek School telling them who their teacher will be and when Snoopy Day is. Very exciting in the world of children around here.

Our Snoopy Day is this Thursday, and our teacher is. . .. (play the exciting music) Miss DELE! Lucas jumped up and down and squealed over this revelation in his life. The jumping started all over again when we learned that Logan and Leighton would be in his class too!

And just one more glimpse of the baby in the bubble. I am so in love with this baby!
