Cheekwood: Trains!

This past Friday was just beautiful outside, almost 80, cool breeze, gorgeous sunshine. Perfect day to be outside with friends, so where did we go? Cheekwood! Cheekwood Botanical Gardens are just beautiful any time of the year, and the always have some sort of display going on-it might be scarecrows, Chihuly, ice sculptures, but this time it is trains!

Lucas was fascinated. I have never seen this kid run so fast in his life as he would run from train to train and watch it with the most serious expression. We stayed for 3 hours. I got a nice sunburn, but somehow Lucas didn't--I think he was running so fast even the sun couldn't catch him!

Here is one of the trains rolling by Nashville's Parthenon.

My handsome, almost 2 year old!
Look who it is! Percy and Thomas together. All the little boys were crowded to watch this display for a long time.
This train was rolling by Beale St. replicas.
Cheekwood has so much land, perfect for little boys who like to run. This is Lucas and Crosby (or as he says, Cobsy) chasing each other.
My sweet boy and I in front of some colorful flowers-Lucas couldn't look-he might miss a train!

Tomorrow is Birthday Sunday at Otter Creek---more pictures to come I am sure :)
