A Week of Firsts

People, this blog includes the first day of school, first soccer practice, a weekly photo, and a couple comparisons and I have only uploaded a total of 13 pictures. Please be impressed, please :)

I certainly have a lot more in my iphoto bank from the days but decided to just do a quick highlight of our special week.

Tuesday marked the first day of Lucas in Miss Dele's 3's class at Otter Creek. To say he was excited would be an understatement. As soon as I woke him up he jumped up and couldn't wait to get in the car. But of course, mom had to do the "door" photos that all Otter Creek Kids go through. He was so happy to oblige mom, I think he knew it was an important big boy day too. And maybe I bribed with cinnamon rolls. And strawberry milk.

We dropped Lucas off as a family for his first morning. I won't say which parent go choked up, but daddy, I mean, "someone", had some watery eyes. Lucas was out the sunroof for the entire drop off line greeting all of his friends and Miss Pat. Seeing him so excited to be back made me so happy--that was until I was reminded that next year I will be dropping two brothers off. Eek! That is just not possible so we shall move on.

Even when I was waiting in the pick-up line, Lucas was greeting all the cars as he made his way to me.  Miss Dele told me he protested coming out, it was a half day of school today and he wanted to stay the whole day and do his whole routine!

Lucas and Crosby, the Otter Creek best buddies and twins. I love these two.

And this picture. It makes me laugh so much. It is definitely going into my folder of photos for their Senior slideshow.

A little comparison for you, he really has grown up so much!

Next on our day's list was to go to soccer practice. I think he might really like this sport and be good at it judging by this photo, watch out David Beckham!

My dad was working in Kentucky this week and the plan was to see him on the bookends of his trip since he was flying in and out of BNA. Well, this is the best GrandDa in the world and he just couldn't resist being so close, so every day this week he drove the 2.5 hours south to have lunch with us, play with the boys, and drive 2.5 hours back to work. What a grandda!

44 Weeks: we have a 5th tooth, he is signing "more" and "all done", he is waving, and gets around really fast. He can and will eat anything and learned to drink out of a straw really well this week. (It was sweet tea of course!). He is a quick stair climber and getting really steady as he stands up. He learned how to throw a ball back and forth as well!

At his doctor appointment, he was in the 92% for weight at 23.5 lbs. No wonder my arms hurt at the end of the day!

My two very different boys, same outfit, way different ages. Finn at 10 months. Lucas at 17 months. Love them both to the moon and back!
