A Birthday Blog

It is here--birthday week for baby Finn. It could not have started in a better way but with Birthday Sunday at Otter Creek- one of the sweetest and most touching traditions. I tear up even when I don't know many kids on the stage, so this was a big deal.

The same powerful words are spoken over the children and parents each month and then the whole church sings, "Happy Birthday" and "May the Lord Bless You". . . .then, it is time to eat cake!

Our October birthday friends:

Baby's last bottle. Bittersweet, but also exciting at the ease of both boys using sippy cups and milk.

This past weekend, we went to the ZOE conference in Atlanta, GA. We Graves love us some Atlanta, so we packed up the car and left a day early so we could have some fun! Our fun included Bojangles on the way, a late night trip to the hotel pool, and. . . .you got it, the Georgia Aquarium!

The lady guarding this display wasn't too thrilled with Josh putting Finn up against the glass, that was until she saw that they were "connecting" and thought it was so cute. So I took pictures. With flash. We are rebels.

Happy Birthday Finn! We woke him up be singing to him, Lucas finished off the song with, "You are 1 Finn! You get to eat chocolate now!"
Lucas was quite honored to show Finn how his new toy worked. What a brother ;)

For the past two weeks, Finn will arch his back and scream anytime we put him in the car, so for our trip to church on his birthday he got to face forward, and look who giggled and talked the entire way!

My two one year olds. Just a little different, huh?

Possibly the most hilarious photo from his birthday. Finn was done, Lucas was more than happy to help with the rest of the icing.

This is what he has been doing the past couple days. And today he can get to wear he stands up completely. Walking is pretty soon, right?
Happy 1st Birthday Finn- we love you and are so thankful you are a part of us!
