Going to the park every day, playing baseball in the backyard, riding with the sun-roof open, and blowing bubbles are activities that are usually done in the spring. Well, it's February and that is what we have been doing! It was in the 60s all week, Hallelujah. I have only worn my coat maybe two times this year. Now, this could mean we have a cold surprise later on or a lot of time in our tornado closet this April, but for now we are thankful.
A joy filled boy playing at the park.
16 Weeks! I have witnessed him rolling over from tummy to back and back to tummy but he has only surprised himself doing that a couple times. It takes a lot of work to roll over when you have so many rolls! He is just so sweet and laid back, he sleeps through the night and wakes up with giggles. He is an expert thumb-sucker and will smile anytime he is sung to or when he sees his brother.
Oh, this pick up truck. One of the items we always need to know of its whereabouts. If it is lost, all fun must cease until our prized truck is found. There is a story behind this truck. After Lucas' class Christmas party, we stopped by Miss Dele's classroom to visit before going home. Lucas fell in love with this car and asked to take it home. My first reaction was that we have a hundred cars at home and we don't need another one. But he persisted. So, we made a deal. Dele was coming to our house that night to baby-sit so I said he could trade his blue race car for it if he wanted it. He agreed. This truck is with Lucas when he takes naps, when he eats breakfast, and in the car on the way to church. I have a feeling I will still have this truck in my house when Lucas is 30.
And the paci. We will have to give it up eventually but until then, this sweet paci face is my favorite.
