After a week of fun activities and hotel Graves full to capacity, we were excited for our Monday as a family of three. Our neighborhood, which really is just like Mayberry, has a 4th of July parade each year. The kids decorate their bikes, wagons, and scooters and a police escorts them around the neighborhood while people stand on their porches a cheer. It really is precious.
Lucas kept saying "Happy July" to everyone. Hey, the kid wants the joy to last longer than a day! Here he is eating breakfast in his wagon.
At the end of the parade, there is a popsicle party at the pool!
Checking out the police car. (or policey car as Lucas says)
After the parade, we spend the rest of the morning at the pool. Lucas loves to jump in and requests that you "back up, back up" before he leaps at you.
After grilling hamburgers for dinner, we got ready to head to our little Nolensville for fireworks. Well, we thought it was going to be little but there were SO MANY people there!
Lucas calls them the "fire truck works"
Finn at 24 weeks, next 4th of July my boys will be in matching seersucker ;)
Enjoying our Sonic treats before the sun set.
I was cracking up at this face. Lucas loved the whole show, clapping and shouting out the colors. The finale, however, was so so bright, I even put on my sunglasses so I could see them. Lucas just shut his eyes as hard as he could!
Happy July to you all!
