Safety Night

Ahh, look at this sweet summer baby. I just love this kid :) As you can tell, I have totally embraced the southern clothing for little boys, not to the extreme, but I love it! Josh doesn't quite understand yet, but that's OK. Nothing is sweeter than a blond baby with his arms showing in a sweet seersucker romper! Tuesday night is always Kid's Night at Chick-Fil-A (free kids meals, usually balloons, and sometimes a dressed up cow), but this specific Tuesday was also Safety Night: two fire trucks, a D.A.R.E. police car, and a cow stuffed animal dressed as a fire man!

As soon as we drove onto Franklin Rd. Lucas shrieked. . .and I mean loud and high pitched "Chicken Fil A Chicken Fil A" in his best southern accent.
This little boy loves fire trucks, but the real thing was quite intimidating for him. You could tell he wanted to play in and on the truck so bad but anytime we got close he grabbed onto us in terror.
Safe with daddy and holding our new toy.
Officer Lucas. On Duty.
The ladder truck showed the kids just how high the ladder goes. It was HIGH.

Giving the cow a high five.
Surprisingly, he wasn't afraid of the cows at all! This cow in particular kept coming up behind him to scare him and Lucas would just giggle and giggle.

He finally (after many many attempts) got up the courage to sit in the truck. He would ask to, and then cry and say "no" when we got up in line, and when we would walk away he would cry that he wanted to again. Poor thing was scared but wanted to try so bad!
Sitting in the front with daddy was ok.
Thank you Chick Fil A for a great night!
