Fall in Nashville

The past couple weeks have been so busy! In a good way of course, but as I sit here during nap time on Saturday I realize just how long it has been since life has been this still and quiet for a full day. It is nice.

Last Saturday, we went out on a date night with our friends Geoff and Amanda to the Watermark restaurant in downtown Nashville. What a fabulous night! It was much needed to have a night of a slow, scrumptious meal, lots of conversation and laughs. . . and having Joe Don Rooney (Rascal Flatts) sit about three feet away wasn't bad either ;)

This week, we had the Harrisons come through town to visit. We miss them so much and feel blessed that they took time out of their life to visit again. I think my very favorite part of their visit (maybe besides breaking out the Blue Bell every night when we put the kids to bed) was the friendship between Ella and Lucas. Lucas LOVES Ella, it is the definition of precious to watch them.

They played together the entire time, held hands, shared snacks, etc. Each time Lucas woke up he would immediately say, "Ella, Ella".
Note: we did not set this up, I just turned around in the car to witness this priceless moment.
Thing 1 and Thing 2 after their bath.
We went to the park one morning, and Lucas loved playing with his daddy and being thrown in the air.
Lucas has a snack in his mouth here, but you just have to see the shirt he is wearing, it says: "Baby in Black" instead of the signature Cash "Man in Black". My dad bought this for Lucas downtown Nashville months ago and it finally fits!

A video will be coming soon, I was just asking Lucas questions while we were waiting to leave and one question was "Lucas, who are you going on a date with tonight"? The answer: "Ella"!
After walking around, we had dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory.

Can these children get any cuter? Or look more like siblings?

Last night, we went to the opening night of Ghouls at Grassmere, the Halloween festivities at the Nashville Zoo. It was a lot of fun, including hayrides, carousel rides, mazes, trick or treating, games, dancing, and more!

Here is my little monkey:
Riding on the carousel for the first time. . .I chose the monkey for him to ride on :)
Hope you all are having a restful and wonderful weekend!
