Well, the past week has been a lot of fun! We went to Michigan this past weekend, and boy, I don't think it was possible to fit one more thing in the 4 days we were there! We had two birthday parties, closed on our Michigan house, rehearsal and wedding, a niece born, and the first haircut!
Lucas' mullet has been growing more and more so it was time. We took him to Great Lakes Crossing's Carnival Cuts and they did a fabulous job. I am not sure how they were able to cut it as he jumped up and down in the fire truck.
At the end of the haircut, he got a balloon and a certificate of bravery and graduation from babyhood.

See ya later mullet!

Mommy and the Birthday Boy!

My mom made this! She is so talented :)

Beth and Jimmy came to my parent's house for his party, it was so special to have them there.

Mmmm....better batter ice cream cake from Maggie Moos. . . my FAVORITE!

My brother and sister who will be getting MARRIED!! YAY!

Lucas is a pretty picky eater, but my mom made BBQ beans and home made macaroni, and he would eat and eat and eat and eat. Grandma Sugar's cooking was the trick!

While Josh did the rehearsal, I met up with Julie, Megan, and Jackson for dinner. It is always so good to be together again. There are some people that no matter the distance, you are forever close, and that would be these two.

Eating dinner at Texas Roadhouse with Nana and Papa Graves. . .someone liked the rolls with cinnamon butter.

Seeing friends at church on Sunday. Katie and Miss are pregnant! Yahoo! and Kelly and I showed up in the exact same outfit. We even have the same shoes. Love that!

With my sister-in-law Alayna who is due in July, I can't wait to meet that little guy and Alayna looks fabulous all sequined out with her teeny belly.

Lucas and Uncle Jason(Josh's twin) walked the halls of the hospital while we all took turns visiting Ava Rae Stemitz, my new niece who was burn an hour after we landed in Detroit. Great timing Ava! She was 4 lbs. 12 oz. so they are keeping her for a few days to help her with her breathing but she will be fine!

Practicing the guitar with Grandda.

Lucas walking to the park with his Grandma Sugar and Grandda.

Life Group girls night out! We went for pizza at the California Pizza Kitchen, had cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory, and then . . .

Met LAURA BUSH!!!! I was so excited. A good friend of mine was sweet enough to escort us down to see her. She was just so sweet and beautiful in person. She signed her book to Lucas. He will not be touching it until he is 30. Ok, maybe 25.

Secret Service wouldn't let us take out our bags or cameras but this photo was snagged on a phone :)

Love that Lucas and Faith had the very first haircut at the same place in the same week! =]
So good to see you, even if it was only for a split second. Next time, we'll have to steal a spot on your busy schedule!
Is Kim in your life group? Tell her I said hi! She is a lifelong family friend :) Glad you had a good visit in Michigan! I didn't know Alayna was pregnant either - tell her congrats!
