I have really enjoyed being a part of the praise and worship ministry here at Otter Creek. Murray does such a great job here.
We have been practicing for weeks for this weekend, a Good Friday service and Easter service at Otter Creek. Both were just amazing and such a blessing to be a part of. Murray did a brilliant job arranging the flow of the services, I can honestly say that this weekend was the best Easter celebration I have ever been a part of or witnessed. We even sang the entire Hallelujah Chorus which is one hard song, but when 1500+ are singing it together in joy because of our risen Savior. . . well, I am just surprised we kept the roof on the place.
Before we left for the Good Friday service, we took some photos of Lucas outside. It has been such gorgeous weather recently and the lighting was great for some pictures of a cute and yummy boy. Then again, when is it not perfect to take a picture of him?

Saturday morning, we participated in the Otter Creek Easter Egg Hunt for the first time! It is a big deal, there were so many cute kids! It had rained that morning so the itty bitty ones did their hunt inside the building. It actually worked out best that way, Lucas wasn't distracted or overstimulated with the space or surroundings.

Daddy showed Lucas what to do, but Lucas quickly showed us that he knew exactly how to do this. (We hadn't practiced this so we were so surprised!) He dunked his eggs just like he does the basketball. He would fill the basket up one by one, and then empty it one by one.

Notice the air on this one, and it went in! He has quite an arm for a 10 month old.

Miss Melanie, our wonderful children's minister, came over to see how Lucas was doing. He loves Melanie so much and wanted to share one of his eggs with her.

Ok, dad, we got a basket full of eggs, now let's go have lunch with my friends so we can talk about the goodies inside our eggs!

Again, Sunday morning was just amazing. The wreath on the cross was hand made of real flowers. . . such a beautiful piece of work. We had a large choir and praise team for worship and it sounded great! Oh, and the preacher did a good job too :)

We spent Easter dinner with the Browns and Troups, our dear friends and family here. We took turns taking family photos before children got lunch all over their white articles of clothing. Not that my kid would be messy ;) (actually, later in the lunch Lucas decided to pour his yogurt all over his hands and cover his face and hair with it. I was picking yogurt out of his eyelashes for the rest of the day.)

The Browns had an Easter Egg Hunt for Lucas, Avery, and Stuart.

I love how shaggy Lucas' hair is getting. I am hoping it continues to curl a bit on the ends or else we will have to trim the mullet.

The girls on Easter :) Don't we look colorful?
