Well, Sesame Street Live came to Nashville this weekend, I debated about getting tickets until I did some research and found that tickets were only $15, and the Saturday morning show (which was my preference) had lots of great seats left.
Lucas woke up this morning saying, "See Elmo today, see Cookie Monster today"! As you can see from the photo below, mom shared the excitement with Lucas.
Lucas was so cute wanting to wear his backpack.

This was his face after Big Bird came on the speakers to announce that the show would start in 3 minutes! (3 was the number of the day).
Lucas watched the entire show intently, letting it all soak in.
After the show, he was so excited about all his favorite characters that he saw (his favorite right now is Cookie Monster), and then he requested we go get a Sprite.
We went to the downtown Panera for lunch which ended up being just the best lunch! We sat out on the patio (it was only in the low 80s) and Lucas had a blast watching the buses, police cars, and fire trucks drive by and chasing birds.
Ever since we came home, he has been talking about all the characters and singing the songs. In particular, he has been singing "If you're happy and you know it", however, he calls it "The Happy Nose" song :)
What a fun day we had together! Sure hope you are having a great weekend too!
